Titleist 917 Woods

Pro Golf Discount is excited to announce that the highly anticipated Titleist 917D2 and 917D3 Drivers, and 917F2 and 917F3 Fairway Woods are now in stock! The engineers at Titleist have incorporated features from the 915 line up with some brand new design elements.

Improvements

Titleist has been able to create greater ball speeds and reduced spin by improving on previous designs of the Active Recoil Channel and the Radial Speed Face. The thickness of the Active Recoil Channel 2.0 has been refined in the 917 Driver, while the addition of an elastomer insert to the 917 Fairway Woods reduces spin and increases speed.

Radial Speed Face 2.0

The enhanced Radial Speed Face 2.0 of the 917 Drivers is engineered with an even thinner perimeter face width that promotes greater off-center ball speeds and increased distance across the whole face.

Variable Thickness Face Insert

The 917 Fairway Woods have an updated face insert, swapping the Ultra Thin Face of the 915 Fairway Woods for the Variable Thickness Face Insert, which like the Radial Speed Face 2.0 is designed to create more speed around the perimeter of the face giving players more distance on off-center hits.

New Features

With one look at the sole of the 917 Drivers and Fairway Woods players will notice one distinct difference from the 915 line up, the Sure Fit CG. The redesign of the weighting system not only increases MOI (Forgiveness) like previous weights, but also significantly reduces the weight compared to “weight track” systems. The interchangeable weights give players the ability to adjust the Center of Gravity for a more consistent spin and impact, and optimize shot shapes to fit their game.
