Chris Griffin's Biography

Chris began his PGA Professional career in 2001 as as Assistant Golf Professional at Tacoma Country & Golf Club in Lakewood, WA. He gained his PGA of America Class A membership in 2006. While at Tacoma Country & Golf Club Chris decided teaching was the direction he wanted to go. In 2010 he taught at Tacoma Firs Golf Center before joining the Pro Golf Discount Team in 2011. He has enjoyed teaching golfers of all abilities over the last 10 years.

Chris is accomplished player who likes to compete on all levels. After gaining his membership in 2006 he qualified for the National Championship in 2007 at Sunriver Resort. In June 2009 Chris held the 36-hole lead in the Canadian Tour’s Times Colonist Open in Victoria and he advanced to 2nd stage of PGA Tour Qualifying School during October.

Chris enjoys teaching players of all abilities and believes in strong pre-swing fundamentals - grip, posture & alignment. His goal is to help his students understand their individual golf swing and make golf more enjoyable for all skill levels.
